Woodforest National Bank donated $25,000 to the Meals on Wheels Montgomery County.
Back in September 2018, TRIS introduced the Woodforest Steakboard, a shareable dinner entrée that serves four and features different cuts of meats. This unique steakboard was created as a way to give back to the community; for every Woodforest Steak Board sold, Woodforest National Bank agreed to make a donation to Meals On Wheels to help provide senior citizens with nutritious meals. For every ‘Woodforest Steak Board’ sold now through the end of the year, Woodforest National Bank will make a donation to Meals on Wheels Montgomery County.
Meals on Wheels Montgomery County has had a successful track record of delivering meals to local disabled and homebound seniors. “We are incredibly grateful for the continued partnership with our friends, Woodforest National Bank and TRIS,” said Summer Day, Executive Director of Meals on Wheels Montgomery County. “The senior population is the fastest growing age group in our country, so this donation makes a huge impact in securing nutrition for those in need. What an honor to serve those that once served us!”
“Meals On Wheels is a most appropriate and deserving recipient of this initiative,” said Jay Dreibelbis, President and Chief Executive Officer of Woodforest National Bank. “Helping the senior citizens of our community has always been near and dear to our hearts, and we’ve been a big supporter of Meals On Wheels for several years. Moreover, their need for support has increased as our county’s population has risen. We are delighted to support them.” Celebrating over 38 years of community banking service, Woodforest National Bank – with headquarters in The Woodlands – has successfully stood among the strongest community banks in the nation, proudly offering outstanding customer service since 1980.
