Chef Austin is teaming up with the winemakers at VÉRITÉ for a one-of-a-kind dining experience benefitting the 42nd annual Sun Valley Museum of Art Wine Auction.
While Sun Valley, Idaho is famous for its array of winter and summer outdoor activities such as skiing, biking, and fly-fishing, it also boasts a thriving arts community. Founded in 1971, The Sun Valley Wine Auction is the oldest, continuously running wine auction in the country and the largest fundraising event for Sun Valley Museum of Art (SVMoA), a multi-disciplinary contemporary art museum in the Wood River Valley. The Sun Valley Wine Auction provides 50% of The Museum’s annual income and raises essential funds for the Museum’s Educational Outreach Programs.
The Sun Valley Wine Auction is a four day gastronomical adventure with events through out the Idaho’s Wood River Valley that includes a celebratory Magnum Pig Roast, educational symposias, vintner dinners featuring award-winning chefs and winemakers, and the River Ranch Wine Walk. The Wine Auction is featuring John Tesar as the Chef de Cuisine this year. Chef Tesar, Michelin-star studded, three-time James Beard finalist, and critically acclaimed executive chef of restaurants Knife Steakhouse in Dallas and other restaurants, has always been influential in Chef Austin Simmons life, and most recently joined forces with him on a special CollaborEIGHT dinner in The Woodlands back in 2019. https://triswoodlands.com/protege-mentor-collaboreight-dinner/
The 12 exclusive Winemaker Dinners on June 27 & 28 are hosted by the most stunning estates to present distinguished vintners alongside award-winning chefs from across the country. Each extraordinary course is paired with rare wines in an intimate setting. Chef Austin is teaming up with winemakers at VÉRITÉ from Sonoma County for an evening hosted by Mr. & Mrs. Springman.
